My Family

My family is awesome, but at this point, the only picture my parents would release for display is one of my adorable dog.

She is a mutt, a mix of a dauschound and a pomeranian. Her name is Foxy Lady, but we usually just call her Foxy.

Let me tell you a little about my awesome family, and thus, tell you a little about my life. My parents met at Souix Falls College in the exciting state of South Dakota. They moved to St. Paul, Minnestoa, where my sister and I were born. I was born on May 7, 1976. However, my parents soon decided that they wanted out of the cold weather, so they moved to Houston, Texas, where my mother's parents lived. So, I was fortunate enough to have my maternal grandparents to be a very active part of my life. Also, I was fortunate enough to be raised to be a proud Texan.

My father is a senior systems engineer at Electronic Data Systems. This means everything I know about computers, which is really not much, I learned from him. It also means many hours of my long distance telephone bill is devoted to fixing whatever I have done most recently to my computer. My mother is a biology teacher at the high school from which I graduated. I think they did a great job raising me, and many of the decisions they made led me to the independance, strength, and faith in God that I have.

My sister is named Shannon. She was born on February 2, 1979, and presently lives in Houston with my parents and goes to the same school I graduated from and that my mom teaches at now, Second Baptist School. She is right now planning her college education, looking at schools, etc. It is different from my search, though, because she wants to train to be a professional dancer. Her specialty is ballet, but I think she is considering some modern ballet or dance as well.

So, that is about it. I love Houston; it will always be my home, regardless if I ever actually live there again. My family is cool and now you know a little bit about them. Isn't my puppy the cutest?
